Deephouse bomb and genuis peace of music by frankfurts Le Rubrique containing 3 originals and an unexpected but trademark ingenoius Ugly Drums version. Must Have!!
TFQ005 starts with the title track -The Art Of Loving- which could be named a classic deephouse track but with some delicate magic elements. It starts with a kick drum und a filtered pumping deep pad which opens during the beginning, getting accompanied by percussions and a clap. It builds up to a break which gives it a complete different character and returns to that pumping magic. -The Art Of Loving- brings you warmth and happiness and makes you move.
A2-Stoya- is a collaboration with BFAM from Barcelona and an impressive deep houser which slows it a bit down. The heavy bass line in combination with the discoid claps and the background pad straight from the basement captures you and won’t let you hide. During the track a descent melody catches you with a paralyzing line added with some spoken words...it is not possible to get deeper.
B1-Back To Back is a coproduction with the long-term friend, music colleague and sound-wizard Paradice. -Back To Back- is an indescribable soul catching piece of music. It starts, builds up and fades out spreading different chords, voices and melodies and leads you to a heavy bass line-part. When it’s over you do not know what happened because it was such a great impression…diverse but a in the end one piece.
B2-Ugly Drums’ Version of the main title fits perfectly in the context of the whole EP and doesn’t compete against the other tracks. It gives a perfect thematic frame and grabs parts of the original very well thought out. Flavored with some concise Ugly Drums-Moments, genially arranged cuts and a murder bass line it is the perfect start for a warm set...or is it an outro? We cannot really say. The only thing that’s clear is: we love it...thank you Ugly Drums!
TFQ005 is a diverse dance floor filler but also a listener for your speakers at home. It gives a little insight into Le Rubrique’s knowledge and understanding about music...he knows what he is doing...thank’s a lot mister!
